This unique pine cone pendant was created using the traditional lost wax casting method. The original pine cone form was carefully sculpted in wax using actual pine cones that I found on my walks in Providence, Rhode Island. Then casted in brass to preserve every detail. The golden effect is given by gold plating the brass piece.
Each surface reflects the organic beauty of nature, making the piece both sculptural and timeless. Suspended from a delicate 14kt gold filled chain, the pendant has a warm golden finish that highlights the intricate form of the cone.
The length of the chain is 16”+2” of an extender.
Because I am using actual pine cones to make the pieces, and the pine cones switch their bodies with metal in the process, these necklaces are truly one of a kind—no two will ever be exactly the same.
